The official trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming was released by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios on Tuesday morning.

In it Peter Parker (played by Tom Hollander) is seen in action as he climbs buildings and meets up with Tony Stark/Iron Man (played by Robert Downey Jr).

The film will be released on July 7, 2017 in the US.

In it Peter Parker (played by Tom Hollander) is seen in action as he climbs buildings and meets up with Tony Stark/Iron Man (played by Robert Downey Jr)

The story is focused on the hero as a high school student and how he wants to grow into being a top superhero.

The film is set in Midtown High School in New York City, where Peter deals with the high school life as well as his newfound superpowers.

Stark, who got close to Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, serves as a mentor to Peter and is featured prominently in the trailer.

The story is focused on the hero as a high school student and how he wants to grow into being a top superhero

The film is set in Midtown High School in New York City, where Peter deals with the everyday challenges of high school as well as his newfound superpowers

He also lets his pal Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) learn he is Spider-Man. 

The trailer opens with Spider-Man scaling a high-rise building.

Peter Parker is then seen in an alley struggling to get his red suit out of his backpack and on his body.

Spidey is then seen in a suburb and screams 'Timber' as he plows into a pool while a family is having a party

Next he is hopping from building to building, but falls once as he screams out loud in horror.

'What's up guys?' he asks as he playfully swings from rooftop to rooftop before a platform of commuters.

'So to become an Avenger are there like trials or an interview?' asks Parker as he sits in the back of a car with Tony, who has sunglasses on.

Spidey with his hood off is seen in a kid named Ned's bedroom. 'You're the Spider-Man,' says the tween. Ned asks if he can try the suit on. Then they are seen in a lab

Peter is also seen watching Captain America on TV

'Do me a favor,' counters Stark. 'Can't you just be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man?'

Spidey is then seen in a suburb and screams 'Timber' as he plows into a pool while a family is having a party.

'Just stay close to the ground,' Tony adds.

'The rich and the powerful like Stark, they don't care about us,' says the villain Vulture played by Michael Keaton

'The world's changing boys. It's time we change too,' he adds

Things are seen being exploded and the action picks up

Spidey is then seen in his pal Ned's bedroom. 'You're the Spider-Man,' says the teen. Ned asks if he can try the suit on. He does and the look is comical.

Peter is also seen watching Captain America on TV.

'The rich and the powerful like Stark, they don't care about us,' says the villain Vulture played by Michael Keaton. 'The world's changing boys. It's time we change too.'

The Staten Island Ferry is then seen blowing up and nearly splitting in two

 Spider-Man cannot keep the thing from collapsing even with all his powers

So in flies Iron Man to the rescue as he keeps the ferry from sinking

Things are seen being exploded and the action picks up.

'These weapons are crazy dangerous,' said Spider-Man after a winged weapon is seen flying through the air.

'Listen Peter, forget the flying monster guy,' says Tony who has his arm around the young student. 'There are people who handle this sort of thing.'

The Staten Island Ferry is then seen blowing up and nearly splitting in two. Spider-Man cannot keep the thing from collapsing so Iron Man comes in to help.

'What if somebody had died?' asks Tony as he is seen walking out of his Iron Man suit

'I'm just trying to be like you,' says the boy. 'I want you to be better,' retorts Tony. 'I'm gonna need the suit back'

Next we see his mother, played by Marisa Tomei. 'You need to stop carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders,' she says

'I am nothing without this suit,' says Peter.

'If you're nothing without this suit, then you shouldn't have it,' says a riled-up Stark.

The clip ends but then a scene with Tony and Peter comes up in the car with the elder superhero saying, 'Just don't do anything stupid, all right?'

Spider-Man and Vulture go at it with the bad guy warning: 'Don't mess with me... 'cause I will kill you and everybody you love.'

Zendaya is seen screaming, 'My friend's up there' as she points to a building.

More fighting with Vulture ensues, this time on an airplane.

The clip ends but then a scene with Tony and Peter comes up in the car with the elder superhero saying, 'Just don't do anything stupid, all right?'

Spider-Man is then seen trying to push a plane away from a city, which looks like it's not quite working out.

'Katniss' entire species must be eradicated': President Snow's death plot revealed as Hunger Games: Catching Fire teaser trailer released at MTV Movie Awards

It might have been an awards ceremony packed full of celebrities and double nipples - but for Hunger Games fans it was all about one thing - a sneak peak of the eagerly anticipated new film.

And they weren't left disappointed as hunky star Liam Hemsworth introduced The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at the MTV Movie Awards in a huge blaze of glory.

Although fans of the book will notice movie producers have deliberately kept back any footage from the second half of the story, viewers see a devious plot to kill Katniss as well as all other Hunger Games victors.

Victory is theirs: Katniss Everdeen, played by award winner Jennifer Lawrence, and Peeta Mellark, played by Josh Hutcherson are trained for their victory tour by District 11 leader Effie Trinket, played by Elizabeth Banks

Kicking off the eagerly anticipated trailer is District 12 victors Katniss Everdeen, played by award winner Jennifer Lawrence, and Peeta Mellark, played by Josh Hutcherson.

The good-looking pair are celebrating their survival in the titular death match and begin their victorious tour of Panem.

But the pair's defiance during the games has been noted by their fellow countryman and the pair have left a feeling of severe unrest behind them.

When Katniss and Peeta are pushed onto the stage by mentor Effie Trinket, played by superstar Elizabeth Banks, during a stop in District 11 - a huge riot breaks out.

The dramatic scene then cuts to Donald Sutherland, who plays President Snow, who is chatting with new head gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee, played by Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Snow says: 'She just wants to save her skin, simple as that. She has become a beacon of hope for them. She has to be eliminated.

Heavensbee replies chillingly: 'I agree she should die. But in the right way at the right time. Katniss Everdeen is a symbol. You don't have to destroy her, just her image.

'Show her that she is one of us now. Let them rally behind that. They're going to hate her so much they might just kill her for you.'

Liam then appears onscreen, the actor plays Gale, telling Katniss people are looking to her as an example of bravery in District 12.

Plot: Katniss, as a symbol of the brave, is not too popular in District 12 - and President Snow wants her assassinated

Katniss is forced to intervene after Gale is caught selling illegal game and in the face of death, as a peacekeeper pulls a gun on her, the actress is bolder than ever - simply saying: 'Go ahead.'

As the trailer draws to a close Sutherland's chilling words as President Snow resopnate: 'Her entire species must be eradicated. The other victors. Because of her, they all pose a threat. Because of her, they all think they're invincible.'

The show also included new footage from next month's 'Iron Man 3'.

Stars from other summer films- including Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto from the 'Star Trek' sequel and Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez from the 'Fast & Furious' franchise - appeared as presenters during the ceremony.

The comic book superheroes of The Avengers and comedy romance Silver Linings Playbook ruled at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday on a night packed with irreverent jokes about body parts and sneak peeks of some of the year's biggest upcoming films.

The Avengers picked up three awards, including the top prize, movie of the year, along with best villain for Tom Hiddleston's turn as the evil Loki, and best fight.

'This is the award that means the most to me. I am so grateful and very excited for 2015 - we're going to bring you 'Avengers 2,' director Joss Wheedon said, accepting the movie of the year award and confirming that a sequel was in the works.

Jennifer added two popcorn-shaped trophies to her Oscar for her turn as an outspoken young widow in Silver Linings Playbook.

She won for best female performance and shared the best kiss award with co-star Bradley Cooper, who was voted best male performance for his role as a bipolar man in the comedy romance.

Star of the show: Millions tuned in to watch hunky Liam introduce the 2 minute sneak peek of the film

Hosted by Pitch Perfect comedy star Rebel Wilson, the annual youth-oriented show brought out some of the most popular stars on television, movies and music.

The MTV Movie Awards, one of Hollywood's biggest youth-friendly ceremonies, rewards movie performances from the past year as well as promoting upcoming blockbusters and new music.

A heavily pregnant Kim Kardashian, dressed in a modest, long-sleeved black dress, and Brad Pitt whose new movie World War Z opens in June, were among the presenters while teen singer Selena Gomez debuted her new single Come & Get It.
